REGISTRATION FOR 2010-11 SEASON: Registration for the 2010-11 will be available online starting on October 1, 2010.  You can register by clicking on the “Register Online” link at the upper left of the screen.  First session starts on Monday, November 15.  Second session starts on Jan. 18, 2011.  Please see the “Jr. Nordic Information” page for details on picking up jackets and skis for both sessions.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Anchorage Junior Nordic League is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching Anchorage kids the lifelong sport of cross-country skiing. We are a parent-run group affiliated with the Nordic Ski Association of Anchorage (NSAA).

Lessons are for kids ages 6 to 14 and we meet at three sites in town: Hillside Park, Kincaid Park and Russian Jack Springs Park. All groups ski three days a week:  2 weeknights and Saturday.  Our first session starts in November and our second session begins in January. We have skis available for rental on a first come-first served basis.

Skiers must have their own poles and boots with NNN bindings. For more detailed information on scheduling, registration, and fees, go to Junior Nordic Info.

Thanks!  We had a great season last year – another year for a record number of children skiing during our second session.

Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage and their ace grooming crew, for maintaining our ski trails and giving us great skiing.  You keep our Jr. Nordic skiers going!

Municipality of Anchorage, Parks & Recreation Department, for working with us to make facilities available and helping us to get kids out skiing – thank you.

Jr. Nordic Committee members who keep Jr. Nordic going in the right direction by giving of time and talents – Thank you for volunteering!

Parents and Skiers, all the parents who bring their kids to ski and then help out by skiing along or holding down the fort inside, and the kids who come and make it fun – Thank you!

All the coaches who give of their time and energy to ski with our kids – you’re the greatest!

Great Harvest Bakery – supplies us with cookies for our Cookie Tours!  Thank you Great Harvest!

Snow White Cleaners & Laundry:  took on the job of washing all the Jr Nordic jackets for us.  Thank you, Snow White!  We are so grateful for our clean jackets!

Alaska Mountaineering & Hiking – helped us purchase many new pairs of skis for our inventory.  Thanks, AMH, for all the support to our ski community!
